
Bhubaneswar, March 20 Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi announced on Friday the regularisation of junior teachers working under the contractual scheme, officials said.
"Junior teachers appointed under the contractual scheme in 2023-24 have been regularised. This move will benefit more than 13,000 junior teachers working on a contractual basis," a CMO release said.
Under this decision, the teachers will be treated as regular employees from the date they join the service. However, they will receive notional benefits up to December 31, 2025, it said.
Full salary and all other benefits applicable to regular employees will be effective from January 1, 2026, onwards, the release added.
