
April 8, Kohima: The Department of Information Technology and Communication has announced the formation of a State High-Level Committee for the Chief Minister's Technology Hub (CM Hub).
The CM Hub will serve as a high-level platform to promote the adoption and innovation of IT, electronics, and emerging technologies in the state.
The eight-member committee will be chaired by the Chief Minister, with the Advisor, IT&C, serving as Deputy Chairman. The other members include the Chief Minister's Advisor, the Chief Secretary, the Commissioner & Secretary, IT&C, the Chief Minister's Public Relations Officer, a co-opted member of the Chairman, and the Chief Minister's Commissioner & Secretary.
The committee will function as the top policy and strategic oversight body, responsible for formulating and recommending policies related to IT and emerging technologies, and mobilizing funding. It will identify, prioritize, and conceptualize niche technology projects and initiatives, and facilitate inter-departmental coordination for technology-driven projects.
The high-level committee is also tasked with monitoring the progress of projects through periodic reporting to the Governing Body, and conducting quarterly meetings to review the strategy, policy decisions, and project status of the CM Hub.
The Department of IT & Communication will be the nodal agency for the execution and monitoring of the CM Hub in Nagaland.
