Collaboration Boosts Education at Sammakka Sarakka University.webp

Hyderabad, April 10 The IIT Hyderabad and the Sammakka Sarakka Central Tribal University at Mulugu in Telangana, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for academic collaboration on Friday.

IITH Director B S Murty and Y L Srinivas, Vice Chancellor of SSCTU, signed the MoU in the presence of Union Coal Minister G Kishan Reddy here.

The MoU aims to develop curricula aligned with the NEP for academic programs, build institutional capacity through faculty mentoring and training support, strengthen laboratory infrastructure at SSCTU, and promote internships, workshops, and expert lectures for the development of students and faculty, an official release said.

Further, IIT Hyderabad will conduct faculty training and pedagogical workshops and organize periodic guest lectures, seminars, and workshops involving its faculty members and external experts.

According to the MoU, IIT Hyderabad will design and offer technical courses starting from the 2026-27 academic year at SSCTU, including B.Tech in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence, it said.

These advanced technical programs, mentored and supported by IIT Hyderabad, are expected to benefit students, particularly from Telangana, the release added.
