Hyderabad, March 12 Telangana BJP president N Ramchander Rao attended a candlelight rally here on Thursday night to condemn the killing of a 26-year-old man following a clash during Holi celebrations in Uttam Nagar, southwest Delhi.
The rally was organized at the Ambedkar statue near Hussain Sagar lake by the VHP, along with several Dalit and Hindu organizations, according to a BJP release.
Ramchander Rao expressed his disapproval of what he termed the "so-called secularists'" silence regarding the incident.
"People like Rahul Gandhi, who talk about 'the shop of love,' have no time to condemn this. This is a serious crime, and stern action should be taken against those who killed Tarun," he told
The 26-year-old man died after sustaining severe injuries in the clash, allegedly triggered by a dispute between two families from different communities over a balloon earlier this month.
