Chennai, April 2 – The makers of the eagerly awaited comedy family entertainer, directed by Harish Durairaj, featuring actors Arjun Das and Anna Ben in the lead, revealed on Thursday the roles played by Ramesh Thilak and Thambi Ramaiah in their film.
Ramesh Thilak plays a doctor named Dr. Subramani, while Thambi Ramaiah plays a Minister named Varadharaj.
Powerhouse Pictures, the production house producing the film, announced on its Instagram page: "From deals to doctor, he enters the frame. Introducing @rameshthilak as Dr. Subramani. #ConCity – a film by @harish_durairaj, coming soon to theaters."
They also revealed the role played by National Award winner, Thambi Ramaiah. Powerhouse Pictures said, "Fun guaranteed when he's in the world of #ConCity! Meet Thambi Ramaiah as Minister Varadharaj. A film by @harish_durairaj, coming soon to theaters."
The makers have already revealed the roles played by Ponvannan, Sathanand, Rage Esakki, Madhan Dakshinamoorthy, Imman Annachi, and Bharadwaj Rangan in their film.
A teaser released by the makers has generated significant interest in the film.
The teaser opens with Arjun Das being threatened by a moneylender over the phone. He questions Arjun Das about why he had stopped answering his calls.
From the phone conversation that Arjun Das has with this person, it becomes clear that Arjun Das has fled with his family after locking his house. The moneylender threatens him, saying, "Do you think I can't find you? If you think you can cheat me of my money, no matter where you run, I will come and cut your family members to pieces right in front of you." Arjun Das sternly tells him that he won't pay and asks him to do what he can.
Soon after the conversation, Arjun Das loses his temper and starts throwing things at hand in anger. When he picks up a small receipt printer from a grocery store to throw, lightning strikes and it touches the machine in Arjun Das's hand.
Soon after, every time he presses a button, 500 Rupee notes start coming out of the machine. Soon, Arjun Das is in a position to repay the moneylender. But it's not just Arjun Das who has discovered that he has a machine that can generate money...
Written and directed by Harish Durairaj, the film will also feature Yogi Babu, Vadivukkarasi, Imman Annachi, and Akhilan in key roles, along with Arjun Das and Anna Ben.
From a technical perspective, the film will have music by Sean Roldan and cinematography by Aravind Viswanathan. Arul Moses A will be the editor, while Raj Kamal will be the production designer. Navaa Rambo Rajkumar has designed the costumes for the film, while Mohan Rajan has penned the lyrics for the songs.
Santhosh has choreographed the dances in the film, while Action Sandhosh has choreographed the fight sequences.
