Conflict Resolution: JKBOSE Guidance for Class 12 Students

The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education has advised Class 12 students to prioritize the Joint Entrance Examination if there is a conflict with their board practical examinations.

In a recent notification, the Board stated that students facing a scheduling conflict between practical exams and the JEE Mains should skip the practicals and appear for the national-level entrance test.

The JEE Mains is scheduled to be held from April 2 to April 9, 2026, which may overlap with the ongoing practical examination schedule for some candidates.

To address this issue, JKBOSE has asked affected students to inform the Board via email at [email protected] on or before April 10, 2026. Students are required to provide details including their name, roll number, examination center, subject affected, and the date of the practical examination.

Officials said that fresh dates for the missed practical exams will be notified separately after the conclusion of the JEE.

Reiterating its commitment to student welfare, the Board said it will ensure that no candidate suffers academic loss due to the conflict and extended best wishes to aspirants appearing for the competitive examination.
