
Mumbai, April 1 – The Congress suspended seven of its corporators in the Jalna Municipal Corporation in central Maharashtra on Wednesday for allegedly assisting the BJP in the appointment of nominated members.
State Congress president Harshvardhan Sapkal took the action against the corporators for violating party discipline, said state unit vice-president (organization and administration) Ganesh Patil.
The suspended corporators are Farukh Sadiq Tundiwale, Imran Khan Amanullah Khan, Farhana A Rauf Ansari, Sunil Ashok Borde, Mayuri Dinesh Dene, Rubina Majid Pathan, and Anil Ashok Tirukhe.
