
Mumbai, April 6 German premium tyre manufacturer Continental Tires on Monday appointed its chief financial officer, Nevin Aslan-Ozkan, as the company's Managing Director in India.
This appointment followed the resignation of incumbent Samir Gupta from the position of Managing Director on April 5, due to personal reasons, the company said.
In her new role, Aslan-Ozkan will lead Continental Tires' growth strategy in India, with a focus on expanding the company's presence in the passenger vehicle segment, the company said.
She had been serving as CFO since May last year, overseeing the company's financial strategy and performance.
Gupta joined Continental in 2012 and has been at the helm since January 2022, the company said.
"India remains a key market for Continental. Guided by our 'In the Market, For the Market' approach, we will continue to provide products and technologies designed for Indian roads. I look forward to meeting the evolving needs of Indian consumers and driving the company's next phase of growth," said Aslan-Ozkan.
She joined Continental in 2017 and held various leadership positions in EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) and APAC (Asia Pacific) in mergers and acquisitions, strategy, and business development.
Recently, the company announced an investment of EUR 10.5 million (approximately Rs 100 crore) in the Indian market to further strengthen its position in the passenger vehicle segment.
