
Palghar, March 18 A contractual medical officer from the Palghar district of Maharashtra has been removed from service after being caught accepting a bribe of Rs 35,000, officials said on Wednesday.
Dr. Vijay Manik Sangle was apprehended on Tuesday in Ashagad, Dahanu taluka, while allegedly accepting the bribe amount from a transporter.
According to a statement by the Zilla Parishad, Sangle was employed on a contractual basis. "No tolerance will be shown for such misconduct," the statement added.
