New Delhi, March 19 Copper prices fell by Rs 27.85 to Rs 1,144.70 per kilogram in futures trading on Thursday, due to weak demand in the domestic spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), copper for April delivery declined by Rs 27.85, or 2.38 percent, to Rs 1,144.70 per kg in a trading volume of 1,340 lots.
Traders said weak domestic demand from consuming industries put downward pressure on copper prices in futures trading.
