New Delhi, March 11 Copper futures rose by Rs 1.45 to Rs 1,227.85 per kg on Wednesday due to increased spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for April delivery increased by Rs 1.45, or 0.12 percent, to Rs 1,227.85 per kilogram in a trading volume of 293 lots.
Analysts attributed the rise in copper prices to increased speculation by participants.
