New Delhi, February 23 Copper futures rose by ₹2.35 to ₹1,198.40 per kg on Monday due to increased spot demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for March delivery increased by ₹2.35 or 0.2%, to ₹1,198.40 per kilogram, with a trading volume of 12,014 lots.

Analysts attributed the rise in copper prices to increased speculation by participants.
