New Delhi, March 18 Prices of cottonseed oil cake increased by Rs 21 to Rs 3,470 per quintal in futures trading on Wednesday, as speculators created fresh positions due to higher demand.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, cottonseed oil cake for April delivery traded higher by Rs 21, or 0.61 per cent, to Rs 3,470 per quintal with an open interest of 59,510 lots.
It had closed at Rs 3,449 per quintal in the previous trading session.
Market participants said the increase in positions by participants, mainly due to increasing demand for cattle feed, mainly influenced the prices of cottonseed oil cake.
