New Delhi, March 20 Prices of cottonseed oil cake rose by Rs 14 to Rs 3,460 per quintal in futures trading on Friday, as speculators created fresh positions due to increased demand.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, cottonseed oil cake for April delivery traded higher by Rs 14, or 0.41 per cent, to Rs 3,460 per quintal with an open interest of 58,580 lots.
Marketmen said the increased positions by participants, primarily due to increasing demand for cattle feed, mainly influenced the prices of cottonseed oil cake.
