Couple arrested with firearms at Jorhat Railway Station
In Assam, the Jorhat Police arrested a couple with illegal firearms at the Jorhat Railway Station on Wednesday.
The police recovered two 32mm pistols and 40 rounds of ammunition from their possession. The arrested individuals, Tutan Debnath and Maya Debnath, are both residents of Dimapur in Nagaland.
The couple was detained while attempting to leave Jorhat by the Nagaland Express train. The police have launched an investigation to determine the source of the weapons and any other possible connections.
