Justices Vikram Nath and Sandeep Mehta, in their ruling, advised the petitioner, G S Rathore, to instruct his newspaper vendor to provide him with all the supplements of the daily.
The bench questioned the legality of filing a writ petition against The Times of India.
"How can a writ petition be filed against The Times of India? Is The Times of India a state entity that we can target with a writ petition?" the bench remarked sarcastically.
