February 16, New Delhi – Naveed Akram, accused in the Bondi Beach mass shooting, appeared in an Australian court via video link for the first time on Monday. Akram faces 59 charges related to the December 14 attack, including 15 counts of murder, 40 counts of aggravated assault with intent to murder, and a terror-related offense.
Police allege that Akram carried out the mass shooting with his father, Sajid, who was killed at the scene. The timeline of evidence was also discussed during the hearing. Akram will next appear in court on March 9.
