Jammu, March 17: The Samvedna Club today unveiled jerseys for the upcoming Jammu Veteran League Anti-Drug Cricket Tournament at the M.A. Stadium. The distinguished guests included Brijesh Sharma and Ajay Sharma. The tournament, which will take place from March 18–31, aims to discourage youth from drug abuse through sports.
SP Brijesh Sharma praised the initiative, noting that sports can deter substance abuse, while SP Ajay Sharma emphasized that community involvement is crucial alongside enforcement. Organizers, led by social activist Keshav Chopra, highlighted that the event seeks to inspire youth to choose discipline and athletic pursuits over drugs.
The launch was attended by community leaders including Kamini Kesar, Rohit Gupta, Abhishek Sharma, Nipun Malhotra, Vikas Kumar, and Raman.
