The Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Samba, organized a one-day workshop on diversified agriculture to promote sustainable farming practices and enhance farmers' income. The event saw participation from over 150 farmers from the Samba and Kathua districts.
Chief Scientist and Head, Sanjay Khajuria, emphasized the importance of crop diversification through horticulture, agroforestry, and integrated farming to improve farm resilience and income. Experts also delivered lectures on innovative cropping systems, extension services, and soil health management.
Farmers actively interacted with the scientists and appreciated the workshop for providing practical guidance on adopting diversified and climate-resilient farming practices.
