February 25, New Delhi: The Kolkata-Agartala Royal Maitri Bus Service has resumed operations after an 18-month suspension. The Agartala-Dhaka-Kolkata international bus service restarted on Tuesday via the Agartala-Akhaura Integrated Land Port.
The service, previously halted due to political turmoil in Bangladesh that disrupted visa issuance and reduced passenger numbers, is now back as conditions stabilize and visa services resume in Agartala. This route is expected to strengthen cross-border travel and connectivity between India and Bangladesh.
