CRPF launches four skill training courses under the Civic Action Programme in Srinagar, empowering forty local youth with job skills, self-employment opportunities, and community trusts.

February 24, Srinagar: With the objective of strengthening coordination, trust, and goodwill between the force and local citizens, the Central Reserve Police Force continues to organize Civic Action Programmes in sensitive areas across the country. Under the Civic Action Programme SRE (SE) for the year 2025–26, the 61st Battalion of CRPF has undertaken four employment-oriented training programmes for the benefit of local youth.

The courses include Web Developer, GST Accounts Assistant, Home Appliances Technician, and Cutting and Tailoring. Each course has a capacity of ten economically weaker and needy youths, covering a total of forty beneficiaries from the local area. All four courses are being conducted simultaneously for the same duration in collaboration with Wyath Services Private Limited, Srinagar, and commenced from February 24, 2026.

These skill development programmes have been designed to provide market-relevant vocational and technical skills through structured training and practical exposure. The initiative aims to enhance employability, promote self-employment, and empower local youth to become financially self-reliant, while also channeling their energy towards constructive and productive activities.

The opening ceremony of the courses was inaugurated by Manoj Kumar, Second-in-Command, in the presence of Rinki Kumar, Deputy Commandant, Pawan Kumar Singh, Assistant Commandant of 61 BN CRPF, and Saleem Lone, Director of Wyath Services Private Limited. The event highlighted the force’s continued commitment to community outreach and youth empowerment in the region.

Through such initiatives, the CRPF reiterated its dedication not only to maintaining security but also to fostering long-term positive engagement with the local population.
