
New Delhi, February 25 Crude oil prices rose by Rs 17 to Rs 6,025 per barrel in futures trading on Wednesday, as participants increased their positions following strong spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil for March delivery traded higher by Rs 17, or 0.28 percent, at Rs 6,025 per barrel in 2,246 lots.
Analysts said that the increased activity by participants kept crude oil prices elevated in the futures market.
Globally, West Texas Intermediate crude was trading 0.66 percent higher at USD 66.06 per barrel, while Brent crude rose 0.58 percent to USD 71.22 per barrel in New York.
