
New Delhi, March 4 Crude oil prices rose by Rs 93 to Rs 7,018 per barrel in futures trading on Wednesday, as participants increased their positions in response to strong spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil for April delivery rose by Rs 93, or 1.34%, to Rs 7,018 per barrel in 2,516 lots.
Analysts said that the increased activity by participants kept crude oil prices high in the futures market.
Globally, West Texas Intermediate crude was trading 2.32% higher at USD 76.28 per barrel, while Brent crude rose 2.52% to USD 83.46 per barrel in New York.
