Crude Oil Futures Market Volatile as Prices Climb.webp

New Delhi, March 30 Crude oil prices rose by Rs 159 to Rs 9,554 per barrel in futures trading on Monday, as the escalating conflict in West Asia is causing severe disruptions in energy supply.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil for April delivery traded higher by Rs 159, or 1.69%, at Rs 9,554 per barrel in 10,536 lots.

Analysts said that the increased participation in the market kept crude oil prices high in the futures market.

Globally, West Texas Intermediate crude was trading 1.49% higher at USD 101.12 per barrel, while Brent crude rose 2.74% to USD 115.65 per barrel in New York.
