
New Delhi, February 24 Crude oil prices rose by Rs 50 to Rs 6,095 per barrel in futures trading on Tuesday, as participants increased their positions in response to strong spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil for March delivery rose by Rs 50, or 0.83%, to Rs 6,095 per barrel in 15,375 lots.
Analysts said that the increased betting activity by participants kept crude oil prices high in the futures market.
Globally, West Texas Intermediate crude was trading 0.60% higher at USD 66.71 per barrel, while Brent crude rose 0.49% to USD 71.46 per barrel in New York.
