
New Delhi, April 10 Crude oil prices rose by Rs 356 to Rs 9,289 per barrel in futures trading on Friday, as participants increased their positions following strong spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil for May delivery traded higher by Rs 356 or 3.99 per cent at Rs 9,289 per barrel in 15,828 lots.
Analysts said that the increased activity by participants kept crude oil prices elevated in futures trading.
Globally, West Texas Intermediate crude was trading 2.50 per cent higher at USD 100.34 per barrel, while Brent crude rose 2.28 per cent to USD 98.09 per barrel in New York.
