
In Jammu and Kashmir, a total of 40,661 positions are currently vacant across various government departments throughout J&K, according to M Raju, Commissioner Secretary of the General Administration Department (GAD), who made the announcement on Tuesday. An Akashvani Jammu correspondent reports that these vacancies include 3,808 gazetted positions, 24,507 non-gazetted positions, and 12,351 multi-tasking staff (MTS) positions. This information was shared during a review meeting chaired by Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo in Jammu. The meeting assessed the progress of recruitments being conducted by the J&K Public Service Commission and the Services Selection Board. The Health and Medical Education Department has the highest number of vacancies among all departments. The Chief Secretary directed officials to expedite the recruitment process and ensure the rapid filling of vacancies across various departments.
