REASI, FEBRUARY 27: Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Kumar Abhishek, chaired a review meeting on Thursday to assess the progress of works being carried out by the Rural Development Department under the District CAPEX and key flagship schemes, including Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural) and Swachh Bharat Mission (Rural). He conducted a detailed, block-wise assessment of ongoing rural development projects across the district.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned officers to prepare structured management plans for Common Service Centres, compost pits, and grey water management, emphasizing the need to strengthen sanitation and wastewater systems. Highlighting the importance of timely implementation, he called for the swift completion of all pending PMAY (Rural) houses and stressed the need for close coordination between Block Development Officers and the engineering wing.
Officers were also instructed to formulate comprehensive project plans for new initiatives, covering every stage from inception to completion to ensure quality execution and operational efficiency.
Later, the Deputy Commissioner reviewed developmental works being undertaken by the Shri Shiv Khori Shrine Board, taking stock of progress on key infrastructure projects. After being briefed by the concerned officers, he directed the executing agencies to adopt measures to expedite the pace of work.
He emphasized adherence to quality standards, strict observance of timelines, and effective inter-departmental coordination.
The meeting was attended by SSP Paramvir Singh, ADDC Sukhdev Singh Samyal, ACD Vijay Kumar, CPO Narinder Kumar, Executive Engineer (REW), BDOs, and other concerned officials.
