
Srinagar, April 9: Deputy Commissioner Akshay Labroo chaired a District Telecom Committee (DTC) meeting to review the progress of telecom infrastructure under the Jammu & Kashmir Communication and Connectivity Infrastructure Project (JKCCIP).
Officials and telecom representatives discussed key issues, including the installation of mobile towers, the saturation of 4G networks, the progress of BharatNet, Right of Way issues, and the development of 5G infrastructure.
The DC emphasized the need for timely project completion, the expansion of 4G coverage, and connectivity to all gram panchayats. He highlighted the importance of strong telecom networks for governance, services, education, and economic growth, and urged companies to improve service quality, especially in remote areas.
