
REASI, February 17: Chairman of the Reasi District Development Council, Saraf Singh Nag, chaired a meeting to review the physical and financial progress of the District Capex Plan for 2025-26. The discussion focused on sector-specific priorities, effective use of funds, and the timely completion of development projects in both rural and urban areas.
Officers provided updates on road, water supply, health, education, power, and rural development projects, while DDC members raised issues including canal repairs, solar light installations, stadium construction, and pending PMGSY compensation. There were also calls to expedite the wind power project and resolve issues related to the installation of electric poles.
Nag emphasized transparency, adherence to deadlines, the convergence of schemes, and focused development in underserved areas, directing regular monitoring and inter-departmental coordination for efficient implementation. MLA Baldev Raj Sharma, Vice Chairperson Sajra Qader, CEOs, BDOs, and senior officers were present.
