Udaipur, April 2 At least six people were injured after a speeding tanker crashed into several vehicles on a highway in Udaipur on Thursday, police said.
The incident occurred on the Debari highway, where the tanker lost control and caused a collision involving multiple vehicles.
Pratap Nagar SHO Puran Singh said that the damaged vehicles included four to five cars, a loading tempo, and motorcycles. Two cars and a motorcycle were severely damaged due to the impact.
The injured were rushed to the MB government hospital, he said.
Following the accident, a long traffic jam occurred on the highway.
Police reached the scene after receiving information and used cranes to clear the damaged vehicles and restore traffic flow.
Preliminary investigation suggests that the tanker's brakes may have failed. The driver fled the scene after the accident.
