New Delhi, March 18 At least 16 flights were diverted from Delhi airport on Wednesday evening due to adverse weather conditions, according to an official.

The national capital experienced dust storms and heavy rainfall on Wednesday evening, prompting the India Meteorological Department to issue an orange alert for the city.

The official stated that 16 flights scheduled to land at the airport were diverted to other airports.

The Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA), operated by DIAL, is the largest airport in the country and handles over 1,300 flight movements daily.
