March 20, New Delhi – Rainfall in several parts of the country on Friday brought much-needed relief from rising temperatures, easing heat conditions in many regions. The national capital, Delhi, also experienced rain, with temperatures dropping to below 20 degrees Celsius.
Fresh snowfall and rain have revived winter-like conditions across parts of Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and further north in Jammu and Kashmir. The India Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for several districts in Himachal Pradesh.
