Delhi Government Increases LPG Availability and Monitors Supply.webp

The Delhi Government has imposed a complete ban on the direct sale of LPG cylinders from warehouses. Oil Marketing Companies have issued clear instructions to all distributors, stating that any such sale is illegal and will result in strict action. To make LPG more accessible, especially for people who may not have proper address proof, the government has increased the availability of 5-kg cylinders across the city. To support migrant workers, 11 help desks have been set up at selected Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited outlets. These desks will guide people about nearby LPG distributors and how to easily obtain cylinders.

Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said that the government is closely monitoring the LPG supply to ensure there are no disruptions. She advised residents not to visit gas agencies or storage points, as all booked cylinders are being delivered directly to homes on time. The Chief Minister assured residents that LPG supply in Delhi is stable.

According to the Chief Minister's office, since April 4th, there have been over 1 lakh 14 thousand LPG bookings in Delhi, while more than 1 lakh 31 thousand cylinders were delivered. This shows that even pending orders are being cleared. It informed that currently, the average delivery time for domestic LPG cylinders stands at 4.24 days, ensuring timely and reliable service for consumers. To stop illegal activities like hoarding and black marketing, the Delhi Government has set up a control room with helpline numbers 011-23379836 and 8383824659.
