The Delhi government has stated that beneficiaries of the widow pension scheme and individuals with disabilities receiving government pensions will now be included in the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana.
Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has said that over 3.9 lakh widow pension beneficiaries and approximately 1.31 lakh beneficiaries under the disability pension scheme will directly benefit. She also stated that this decision will provide comprehensive health coverage to an additional 5.5 lakh families.
Chief Minister Gupta emphasized that this is not just an administrative decision, but a commitment to the health and well-being of every needy family in Delhi.
