Delhi Hits 35.8°C: Heatwave Conditions.webp

New Delhi, March 12 The national capital recorded a maximum temperature of 35.8 degrees Celsius on Thursday, 6.9 degrees above the season's average, according to the India Meteorological Department.

The minimum temperature was recorded at 18.2 degrees Celsius, the IMD said, adding that the sky is likely to remain partly cloudy on Friday and Saturday.

The air quality was recorded as "poor" at 6 pm on Thursday, with an Air Quality Index (AQI) reading of 215, according to data from the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).

According to the CPCB, an AQI between zero and 50 is considered 'good', 51 to 100 'satisfactory', 101 to 200 'moderate', 201 to 300 'poor', 301 to 400 'very poor', and 401 to 500 'severe'.
