New Delhi, March 13 – Delhi experienced its hottest morning of the year on Friday as the minimum temperature settled at 20.4 degrees Celsius, 5.3 degrees above the season's average, according to the India Meteorological Department.
Regarding air quality, the AQI (Air Quality Index) was in the "poor" category, with a reading of 200 at 9 am.
The maximum temperature is expected to reach 34 degrees Celsius, with a forecast of partly cloudy skies.
Data from individual stations showed that Palam recorded a minimum temperature of 18.4 degrees Celsius, 3.3 degrees above normal. Lodhi Road recorded 19.2 degrees Celsius, 5.2 degrees above normal, while Ridge logged 19 degrees Celsius, 3.1 degrees above normal.
Ayanagar recorded a minimum temperature of 19.8 degrees Celsius, 5.1 degrees above normal.
According to the Central Pollution Control Board's (CPCB) SAMEER app, 18 stations were in the "poor" category, while 26 stations were in the "moderate" category.
According to the CPCB classification, an AQI between 0 and 50 is considered "good," 51 to 100 "satisfactory," 101 to 200 "moderate," 201 to 300 "poor," 301 to 400 "very poor," and 401 to 500 "severe."
