New Delhi, March 29 Delhi experienced the highest temperature of 36.2 degrees Celsius, 3.6 degrees above the seasonal average, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

The minimum temperature settled at 19.8 degrees Celsius, 1.7 degrees above the seasonal average, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

Safdarjung recorded a maximum temperature of 36.2 degrees Celsius; Palam 35.7 degrees Celsius; Lodhi Road 35.1 degrees Celsius; the Ridge 35.3 degrees Celsius, and Ayanagar 35.6 degrees Celsius, according to IMD data.

The weather department has issued a yellow alert and forecast very light to light rainfall in the national capital during the afternoon and evening, accompanied by gusty winds on Monday.

The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to be around 31 and 21 degrees Celsius, respectively.

Relative humidity was recorded at 33 per cent at 5.30 pm.

The air quality was recorded in the 'moderate' category at 4 pm, with an Air Quality Index (AQI) reading of 194, according to data from the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).

According to the CPCB, an AQI between zero and 50 is considered 'good', 51 to 100 'satisfactory', 101 to 200 'moderate', 201 to 300 'poor', 301 to 400 'very poor', and 401 to 500 'severe'.
