
New Delhi, April 3 Newly appointed deputy leader of Aam Aadmi Party in the Rajya Sabha, Ashok Mittal, met Delhi LG Taranjit Singh Sandhu at Lok Niwas on Friday.
Mittal, AAP's Rajya Sabha MP from Punjab, was appointed as the new deputy leader of the party on Thursday, following the removal of Raghav Chadha from the post.
The issue continued with Chadha, also a Rajya Sabha MP from Punjab, reiterating that he was "silenced, not defeated," while his party leaders accused him of engaging in "soft PR" instead of raising real issues in the House.
Mittal, who hails from Punjab, is also the founder Chancellor of Lovely Professional University in Punjab.
Lok Niwas, in a post on X, stated that well-known entrepreneur, MP, and deputy leader of AAP in the Rajya Sabha, Dr Ashok KMittal, met with LG Sandhu.
Mittal has maintained that the removal of his predecessor was a normal process and there was no specific reason behind it.
