New Delhi, March 30 A 26-year-old man was arrested in southwest Delhi's Dwarka for allegedly displaying a firearm on social media to create fear and gain attention, police said on Monday.
Police arrested Ritik Kharab on March 29, and recovered a pistol and two live cartridges from him, they said, adding that the accused had uploaded photos and videos on social media platforms, displaying a pistol.
During interrogation, Kharab revealed that he had obtained the weapon from a supplier based in Haryana with criminal connections.
He also disclosed that he had used the firearm earlier for celebratory firing at his wedding and to project influence among his peers, police said.
