
New Delhi, March 19 A young boy was killed and his father was injured when a group of armed attackers stormed their house in Bawana, a suburb of northern Delhi, on Thursday, opening fire, police said, suspecting a gang rivalry.
According to preliminary information, the incident occurred when a group of armed men entered the house and fired multiple shots, which hit the boy and his father.
Police sources said the boy died from his injuries, while his father is being treated.
The nature of the attack suggests it may be linked to a gang rivalry. However, further investigation is underway to determine the exact motive.
Shortly after the incident, multiple police teams rushed to the scene and cordoned off the area. Senior officers, including Deputy Commissioner of Police (Outer North) Hareshwar Swami, also arrived at the scene to assess the situation.
Efforts are underway to identify and apprehend the perpetrators, officials said.
