New Delhi, April 10 Five people and two pet dogs were rescued after a fire broke out at a residential building in Delhi's Chander Vihar on Friday, a Delhi Fire Services official said.

The DFS received a call about the blaze at 11:32 am.

The fire broke out on the ground floor of a six-story building.

"No casualties were reported, and all five occupants, along with two pet dogs, were rescued," he said.

The officer said the fire damaged four scooters and a motor pump kept on the ground floor, and that firefighters brought it under control around 12:05 pm.
