New Delhi, February 22 The national capital recorded a maximum temperature of 29.7 degrees Celsius on Sunday, 4.2 degrees above the seasonal average, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

The minimum temperature was 12 degrees Celsius, which was 0.2 degrees above normal, the IMD stated.

The weather department has predicted mist on Monday, with the maximum and minimum temperatures expected to reach around 30 and 14 degrees Celsius, respectively.

Relative humidity on Sunday ranged from 89 to 49 percent.

Air quality was recorded as 'poor' at 4 pm, with an Air Quality Index (AQI) of 229, according to data from the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).

According to the CPCB, an AQI between zero and 50 is considered 'good', 51 to 100 'satisfactory', 101 to 200 'moderate', 201 to 300 'poor', 301 to 400 'very poor', and 401 to 500 'severe'.
