
New Delhi, April 1 The city began Wednesday with a cool morning, as the minimum temperature settled at 16.8 degrees Celsius, two degrees below the seasonal average.
Some parts of the city received rain on the night between Tuesday and Wednesday.
Lodhi Road recorded 6.4 mm of rain between 11:30 pm on Tuesday and 2:30 am on Wednesday, while Ridge and Ayanagar recorded 2.6 mm and 6.8 mm of rain, respectively, during the same period.
While rain is not expected on Wednesday, the city may experience overcast conditions. The weather office predicts that light rain and thunderstorms are likely to return to the city on Friday.
The maximum temperature for the day is expected to be around 35 degrees Celsius.
Overnight rains led to an improvement in air quality, with the AQI recorded at 103, which falls in the moderate category.
According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) standards, an AQI of 0-50 is considered 'good', 51-100 'satisfactory', 101-200 'moderate', 201-300 'poor', 301-400 'very poor', and 401-500 'severe'.
