
March 28, New Delhi: With the red carpet rolled out, Delhi is hosting some of the biggest names from Indian cinema at the inaugural edition of the International Film Festival Delhi. Screenings and discussions at the event saw interactions between industry veterans and the Delhi Government to promote cinematic tourism in the national capital. The increasing use of AI in filmmaking also emerged as a key theme on Day 3 in New Delhi.
Delhi Arts and Culture Minister Kapil Mishra presented the government’s vision titled “Delhi as India’s Creative Capital: Film Tourism for Economic Growth” at the IFFD Industry Conclave 2026 on Friday. He stated that under a new film policy, the Delhi Government will provide subsidies of up to ₹3 crore for shooting films in the national capital.
