Deoria (UP), March 25 Two men were killed on Wednesday morning after their motorcycle collided with a school bus in the Bhatni area here, police said.
The incident occurred around 7 am on the Bhatni-Nunkhar road. The victims have been identified as Rafullah, 23, and Abhishek Yadav, 22, they said.
According to eyewitnesses, the school bus was heading from Bhatni to pick up students when it collided head-on with the motorcycle.
Both Rafullah and Abhishek sustained critical injuries and were rushed to Maharshi Devaraha Baba Medical Hospital, where they succumbed during treatment.
Bhatni SHO Mrityunjay Rai said police reached the spot after receiving information and initiated an investigation.
The bodies have been sent for post-mortem, he added.
