
Assam Assembly Elections: Rajnath Singh campaigns in Dergaon
Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh addressed a large election rally in Dergaon today in support of BJP candidate Mridul Kumar Dutta, who is backed by the NDA. The rally was held at the Balijan Tea Garden playground, where Singh launched a strong attack on the opposition Congress.
Addressing the crowd, Singh stated that India can only progress when Assam and the Northeast move forward. He expressed confidence that the NDA would form the government in Assam and urged voters to ensure a decisive victory for Dutta in the Dergaon constituency.
Earlier, Singh arrived in Dergaon from Tezpur and landed at the helipad of the 11th Assam Police Battalion. From there, he proceeded to the rally venue with a large convoy. He later addressed the election gathering at Sital Pathar in Dergaon, continuing his campaign in favour of the BJP candidate.
