
Jaipur, March 25 Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma met Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday at the Parliament House in New Delhi, where they discussed development initiatives in the state, officials said.
During the meeting, Sharma extended greetings to the prime minister on the occasion of Navratri and presented him with a sandalwood idol of Goddess Durga crafted by an artisan from Rajasthan, according to a statement.
Sharma discussed ongoing welfare schemes and development works being implemented to achieve the goal of a developed Rajasthan, the statement said.
The successful implementation of policies under the "double engine government" is benefiting people and helping the state reach new heights of development, Sharma said.
"Under the visionary leadership of the prime minister, Rajasthan is reaching new heights of growth," he said.
