
Jaipur, March 11 Devotees donated over ₹46.50 crore in cash and other valuables at the Krishnadham Shri Sanwaria Seth Temple in Rajasthan's Chittorgarh district, officials said on Wednesday.
The donations were made over the past one-and-a-half months, with the temple management carrying out the counting in seven rounds after opening the donation boxes. The exercise concluded on Wednesday, they said.
According to the temple board, the final phase of counting yielded ₹8,05,642, bringing the total cash collected from the donation boxes to ₹36.57 lakh.
Apart from cash donations, devotees also contributed over ₹10 lakh through online transfers and money orders, officials said.
In addition to money, devotees also offered precious metals at the temple.
"A total of 2 kg 967 grams and 480 milligrams of gold and 152 kg 609 grams of silver were received through the donation boxes," an official of the temple board said.
The counting process was carried out under the supervision of temple authorities and officials.
