New Delhi, March 5 Justice Sushrut Arvind Dharmadhikari was appointed as the Chief Justice of the Madras High Court on Thursday.
He was previously a judge of the Kerala High Court.
His name was recommended for the post by the Supreme Court Collegium last month. He replaces Justice Manindra Mohan Shrivastava, who retired on Thursday evening upon attaining the age of 62.
